Tea at Graces

Project Information

The "tea at graces" initiative was a service project that aimed to donate dry rations and serve tasty refreshments for the elderly at grace Perera Elderly home while spending valuable time and harvesting connections between the elders and the Leo club members. This project aimed to make an elders day better and also donate dry rations to further support their diet needs.

Upon arrival at the Elderly home, the Leo club members were already aware of the needs of dry rations. However, we were also able to acknowledge that elderly people need kindness, compassion and connections. Seeing their faces light up in curiosity as we walked by reminded us that they were once part of the youth as well. We have identified that elders must be treated well, physically as well as mentally and look forward to continue supporting this identified need.
