Dress to Impress
A Fundraiser project.
Project Information
To organize a Non-Uniform Day at Ethos International College, encouraging students to participate in a casual dress event while fostering community engagement and raising funds to support the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, promoting the values of charity and social responsibility among students.
The Non-Uniform Day benefits the community by supporting the Lady Ridgeway Hospital through funds raised to enhance pediatric healthcare services, directly aiding children in need. It fosters a sense of social responsibility and empathy among students, promoting the value of giving back to society. Additionally, the event strengthens community bonds by uniting students, parents, and staff in a collective effort while raising awareness about the importance of supporting public health initiatives. Through this initiative, participants contribute to a meaningful cause, making a positive impact on the community.
The identified community need is to support and enhance the resources and services of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, which is a critical healthcare facility for children in Sri Lanka. As a public hospital, it often faces challenges such as limited funding, overcrowding, and shortages of medical equipment or supplies. Addressing these needs ensures that children, especially those from underserved communities, receive quality medical care. This initiative also highlights the importance of community involvement in bridging gaps in healthcare and contributing to the well-being of vulnerable populations.
